Seychelles delegation visits Games of the Future 2024 in Kazan!

During the visit, to Kazan, Russia, the Seychelles delegation had a meeting with the Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation Mr. Oleg Matytsin. Mr. Matytsin expressed his hope that Seychelles would participate in the BRICS Games scheduled to take place in Kazan in 2024. This initiative was supported by Ms. Marie-Celine Zialor, Minister of Youth, Sports and Family of the Republic of Seychelles.
They discussed the upcoming Beach Soccer World Cup in 2025. The Seychelles Minister noted that Russia could be the main partner of the forthcoming event.
The parties discussed possible student exchange programs which could provide an opportunity to study at sports universities of the Russian Federation (Kazan, Moscow and other regions). One of the issues that was touched upon during the bilateral meeting was the close and productive interaction between the Seychelles and the city of Rostov-on-Don.
 
On February 23, a meeting was held between the Management of the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan represented by the First Deputy Minister Mr. Khalil Shaykhutdinov and the delegation of the Republic of Seychelles.
During the bilateral meeting, the parties dwelled upon the visit of the Seychelles athletes to the BRICS Games in 2024. Ms. Zialor expressed her firm intention to participate in the upcoming competitions, the main purpose of which will be to strengthen friendly sports relations between the countries.
The discussion moved to bilateral exchange programs not only for athletes, but also for Seychelles coaches and teaching staff who could visit Kazan universities for advanced training. The Ministry of Sports of Seychelles will be glad to welcome Tatarstan athletes on their return visit to Seychelles. There are scheduled short-term and long-term programs which will offer workshops and training sessions delivered by the qualified experts of the Republic of Tatarstan for the specialists of Seychelles.
 
Ms. Marie-Celine Zialor is looking forward to the development of sports tourism, participation of Seychellois in the next Games of the Future, scientific research in sports, in particular for people with reduced mobility, and fruitful cooperation with the Russian Federation in the field of sports.
