During the bilateral meeting, Mr. Leonov, invited Seychellois athletes to participate in the BRICS Games 2024.
Later the delegates led by the Minister of Family, Sports and Youth, Ms. Marie-Celine Zialor, were taken for a tour of sports facilities in Kazan. The first meeting was held at the Palace of Water Sports of the Volga Region State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism, where the Minister discussed programs of exchange of athletes and specialists with Mr. Mikhail Smolkin, Director of the Complex. The Kazan Palace of Water Sports is open for bilateral cooperation with Seychelles.
After that, the delegation went to the Kazan Tennis Academy of the Volga Region State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism, where they met with Ms. Yulia Lazareva, Executive Director of the Tennis Federation of the Republic of Tatarstan. The agenda of the meeting included the interaction between the countries, as well as exchange of students and technical specialists. The participants of the meeting outlined further ways of developing fruitful cooperation.
In the evening there was a meeting with Mr. Rinat Sadykov, Minister of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Ms. Dilbar Sadykova, Chairman of the Academy of Youth Diplomacy acting on behalf of the Council of Young Diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia. During the talks, the Seychelles delegation was invited to attend the Forum of Young Diplomats to be held in Kazan, as well as to the events at the Kazan pavilion at the World Youth Festival 2024 in Sochi. The participants of the meeting expressed their hope for long-term and promising cooperation between the Republic of Tatarstan and Seychelles.
