A significant event took place in the Rostov Academic Youth Theater (RAYT) - a delegation from Seychelles paid a visit to the theater.
There was a meeting attended by Karina Serdyuchenko, Director of RAYT, and members of the delegation, which included Honored Figures of the Republic of Seychelles – Mr. John Pool Etienne (Professor, Honored Creative Figure of the Republic of Seychelles, film director and artistic director of the Seychelles Cultural Foundation FKS) and Ms. Marie Antoinette Helene (PR manager of the Seychelles Film Academy project). During their conversation, the participants touched upon the history of the theater and discussed near-term and long-term plans. The delegation members shared their success stories and talked about the process of creation and evolvement of the Seychelles Film Academy.
Karina Serdyuchenko conducted a tour around the Youth Theater, followed by a workshop delivered by Mr. John Pool Etienne and Ms. Marie Antoinette Helene for the actors of the Youth Theater.
Besides, the guests visited the Southern Federal University. At the “Boiling Point” of the University, they gave a lecture titled "Synonyms of the Seychelles" for foreign students. The event was attended by Alexander Ermizin, Head of the Foreign Students Relations Department, who spoke about the cooperation of the Southern Federal University with the Seychelles.
Director John Pool Etienne shared his experience and gave acting and directing workshops for students. Ms. Marie Antoinette Helene also held a creative session for students.
