On May 9, a series of ceremonial events was held in the Republic of Seychelles to mark the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

As part of the commemorative program, a wreath-laying ceremony took place at the Memorial to those who fell in the World Wars, paying tribute and expressing profound respect for the heroism of those who gave their lives. The “Immortal Regiment” and “St. George Ribbon” campaigns were also conducted, aimed at preserving historical memory and ensuring continuity between generations.

In cooperation with the Seychelles–Russia Friendship Society, an official protocol event was organized, the centerpiece of which was a joint screening of a Russian film devoted to military- historical themes.

The commemorative events were attended by the Ambassador of Russia (Dean of the Diplomatic Corps) A.A. Kozhin, former Vice President of the Republic of Seychelles V. Meriton, representatives of the Seychellois defense establishment, heads and staff of diplomatic missions of friendly states, members of the Embassy, activists of the compatriot community, as well as representatives of the media.
