Students and graduates of GITIS are participating in a dance festival in the Seychelles!

Students and graduates of the ballet faculty of GITIS are representing Russia at the Biennale de Danse 2025 dance festival, currently taking place in the Seychelles.
GITIS participants are engaging in master classes and collaborative creative work, exchanging experience with professionals from other countries.

In the early days of the festival, the Russian participants connected with colleagues from Mauritius and Cuba, as well as with Seychellois choreographers and the local
student dance team — discussing theater, creative work, dance schools, and styles.

This event, organized by the National Arts Council of the Seychelles, serves as an important platform for promoting dance art, creating opportunities for international
artistic exchange, and stimulating cultural tourism.

GITIS’s participation in the Dance Biennale highlights the high level of training of Russian choreographers and their contribution to the development of the global dance community. It is expected that GITIS representatives’ involvement in the Biennale will help strengthen cultural ties between Russia and the Seychelles, expand international cooperation, and create new opportunities for artistic exchange.

Our choreographers will conduct master classes on folk-stage dance and classical dance exercises, present their own performance dedicated to the fusion of Russian
folklore and contemporary dance, and, together with other festival participants, will showcase a collective choreographic piece at the final gala concert.
