The dance group of GITIS has concluded its two-week visit to the Seychelles!

At the invitation of our partners, students and graduates of the Choreography Faculty of GITIS represented Russia at the Biennale de Danse 2025 dance festival and participated in the Open African Championship for Artistic Dance, winning several medals. Cultural cooperation between Russia and the Seychelles continues to develop actively.

 

IThe GITIS participants took part in masterclasses and collective creative activities, exchanging experiences with professionals from other countries. In the early days of the festival, the Russian participants met with colleagues from Mauritius and Cuba, as well as Seychellois choreographers and a local student dance team, discussing theater, creativity, dance schools, and styles. This event, organized by the National Arts Council of the Seychelles, served as an important platform for promoting dance art, creating opportunities for international creative exchange, and stimulating cultural tourism.student dance team — discussing theater, creative work, dance schools, and styles.

 

GITIS's participation in the Biennale de Danse highlighted the high level of training of Russian choreographers and their contribution to the development of the global dance community.

 

Our choreographers conducted masterclasses in folk and stage dance as well as classical dance exercises, presented their own piece dedicated to the fusion of Russian folklore and contemporary dance, and together with other festival participants showcased a collaborative choreographic performance at the closing gala.
