Orthodox Easter was celebrated in the Seychelles!
Divine services were held in the Seychelles on the feast of Bright Easter. Participants included local Orthodox believers, staff of the Russian diplomatic mission, members of the Russian community, and tourists from the Russian Federation.
The festive liturgy was celebrated by Priest Vasily Beletsky of the Kursk Diocese. During the service, he also read out the Easter messages of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’, as well as an address by the Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, Metropolitan Konstantin of Cairo and North Africa.
The Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Seychelles, Artem Kozhin, emphasized the importance of the presence of the Russian Orthodox Church in the Seychelles and expressed gratitude for the development of the Church’s mission in the region.
