On the Feast of the Resurrection of Christ, the Paschal Service was held in the Seychelles

On the night of April 19 to 20, during the Bright Feast of the Resurrection of Christ, Father Vasily Beletsky, a cleric of the Kursk Diocese, conducted a procession, Paschal Matins, and the Divine Liturgy in the capital of the Republic of Seychelles, Victoria.

The service was attended by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Seychelles, A.A. Kozhin, Embassy staff, and our fellow countrymen.

During the Great Ektenia, the priest offered special petitions and a prayer for Holy Rus.

After the reading of the Gospel, the Paschal messages of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, and the Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, Metropolitan Constantine, were announced.

After the service, Father Vasily blessed the Paschal cakes and eggs.

On April 21, Father Vasily met with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Seychelles, A.A. Kozhin.

The Ambassador expressed gratitude to His Holiness Patriarch Kirill and Metropolitan Constantine of Zaraysk for the activities of the Russian Orthodox Church in the archipelago, emphasized the importance of the mission in the Seychelles, and wished further development for the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa in the country, a cause he will also support.
