Minister Laporte Participates in the International Transport and Logistics Forum in St. Petersburg!

The Minister of Transport, Ports and Civil Aviation, Ms. Véronique Laporte, attended the International Transport and Logistics Forum, held from 1 to 3 April 2026 at the Expoforum Exhibition Centre.

The forum brought together ministers and leading representatives of the global transport and ogistics sector, serving as a platform for discussions on connectivity and the advancement of cooperation.

Ms. Laporte took part in discussions alongside her counterparts from various countries. The Seychelles used this opportunity to strengthen partnerships and explore new avenues for enhancing transport connectivity, which is of particular importance in the context of the current crisis.

On the sidelines of the forum, the Minister held a meeting with the Chief Executive Officer of Aeroflot, Mr. Sergey Alexandrovsky. A meeting with the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation, Mr. V. V. Poteshkin, was also scheduled.

Ms. Laporte was awarded the Medal “For Cooperation.” The development of cooperation with the Seychelles opens up new prospects in maritime transport, civil aviation, and tourism-related transportation across the Indian Ocean region.
