This is not the first time that Mr. John Poole Etienne comes to the capital of the Donland. During his visit, Mr. John Poole Etienne held workshops and meetings for students of the Rostov universities - VGIK, DSTU, SFEDU, RINH, and actors of the Academic Youth Theater. There was also a meeting at the Center for True Values, where Mr. Etienne took on a leading role in a large event for students of the Don universities.
At the Regional Youth Center, Mr. John Poole Etienne had a meeting with Mr. D.S. Barsukov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Youth Policy of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Ms. N.D. Kobzeva, Deputy Head of the International Youth Friendship Club, and Mr. A.N. Bgantsev, Head of the Youth Policy Department of the city of Rostov-on-Don. The participants of the event discussed how to build an international community driven by the cooperation of the youth of Rostov Region and Seychelles with the aim of creating long-term partnership ties. The guest from the Seychelles also paid a visit to the Alliance française for Rostov region where he was warmly welcomed by its Director, Ms. Ekaterina Dolzhich.
Currently, the parties expect to sign agreements between UNISEY, DSTU and RINH and to arrange a return visit of Seychelles students to Rostov as part of the Media Expedition programme. Besides, Mr. John Pool Etienne has plans to continue his work with the students of the directing and acting faculties and his productions with Don theaters. The authorities intend to promote sports, cultural and educational exchanges, namely inviting Seychelles athletes to Rostov-on-Don for long-term training and sending students from RINH to the Seychelles for on-the-job-training in the tourism sector in collaboration with the leading travel agency in the Seychelles called 7South.
The visit to the Don capital was organized with the kind support of the Administration of the city of Rostov-on-Don and the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Seychelles in the city of Moscow, Moscow region and Rostov region.
