On September 26, 2024, the Center for True Values hosted a meeting with the celebrity John Pool Etienne, Honored Cultural Figure of the Republic of Seychelles, Professional Director and Artistic Director of the Seychelles Cultural Foundation. The Center for True Values is a modern platform which fosters innovations and promotes creative industries, where talented young people and creative entrepreneurs can acquire new skills and implement their technological and creative projects.
Students from the Rostov-on-Don higher education institutions, including the Southern Federal University and the Don State Technical University, were among those who had the opportunity to enjoy the incredibly exciting history of the Seychelles, experience the vibrant local rhythm and learn about the current projects with the island country.
The Guest of Honor also spoke about his creative path, his years of study in the USSR and left a wish for the international students.
The meeting was organized with the kind assistance of the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Seychelles D.Kislov, the Rostov City Administration and the Ministry of Economic Development of the Rostov Region as part of the efforts aimed to develop the twinning relations between the city of Rostov-on-Don and the city of Victoria (Republic of Seychelles). The event was also attended by Galina Khachaturova, Chief of Staff in the Office of the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Seychelles in the City of Moscow, Moscow and Rostov Regions. International students of the Southern Federal University, as well as staff and tutors of the Foreign Students Relations Department were invited to participate in the event.
