The ceremony of wreath-laying in honor of Victory Day, organized by the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Seychelles, took place on May 9 in the capital of Seychelles at the Memorial to the Fallen Soldiers in World Wars.

The event was attended by Ambassador A.Kozhin, staff of the Russian diplomatic mission and members of their families, former Vice President of the Republic and head of the Russia-Seychelles Friendship Society V. Meriton, Mayor of Victoria L.Charlie, representatives of the community of compatriots and the diplomatic corps.

Each participant of the ceremony had a St. George's ribbon as a symbol of Victory Day. The ribbons were previously given to Ms. Charlie during her visit to the twin city of Rostov-on-Don.
